NON-EU citizens and owners of TRC from EU countries
In aim to enter the territory of Poland, the non-EU citizens have to obtain a visa from a Polish Embassy or a Consulate located in their country of nationality. The short-term visa entitles a holder to stay in Poland for up to 3 months, the long-term visa up to 1 year.
Before your legal stay in Poland ends you have to submit the application for the temporary residence permit (TRC). The permit is issued for the period of your stay in Poland, but not longer than two years. From the date of application until the date of decision on granting the TRC, your stay in Poland is still legal, even without a valid visa. The period of considering the application cases at the Voivodeship Office depends on many factors, including the number of applications under consideration and the complexity of your case.
If you own a TRC from any other EU country, it allows you to stay in Poland for 3 months. Before that period ends, you have to apply for the permit here.
