International Spring School "Abkhazia: From Ancient Times to the Present" (Historical-Culturological Aspects)

In the name of Embassy of Georgia in Warsaw we would like to invite you to tak part in 3rd International Spring School "Abkhazia: From Ancient Times to the Present (Historical-Culturological Aspects) - 2024".

This project is being implemented in collaboration with Sokhumi State University, with financial support from the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation within the framework of the "A Grant Competition Supporting 2023 Georgian Occupied Territories Studying National Research Projects and the International Scientific Events". The main goal of the project is comprehend the history of the occupied territory of Georgia and its integral part, the Autonomus Republic of Abkhazia, based on contemporay scientific criteria.

The International Spring School welcomes young researchers and students (MA, PhD) interested in Georgian history and culture.

The International Visegrad Fund Research Grant Programme

The International Visegrad Fund Research Grant Programme, launched by the International Visegrad Fund and the European University Institute, offers support to post-graduate scholars from Central and Eastern Europe to conduct archival research relevant to European integration at the Historical Archives of the European Union in Florence, Italy.

Candidates from the Visegrad countries Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, as well as from the Western Balkans, and Eastern Partnership countries, are eligible to apply.

The Spring 2024 call for applications is open. Complete information on the grant and how to apply, as well as a link to the online application platform, can be found here.

The deadline for applications is 30 April 2024.
