Donations for victims of earthquake
Drodzy studenci, drogie studentki, drogie osoby studiujące!
W związku z katastrofalnym trzęsieniem ziemi, które dotknęło w poniedziałek Turcję i Syrię, organizacje na całym świecie rozpoczęły przyjmowanie darowizn w celu pomocy ofiarom katastrofy. Również we Wrocławiu założony został punkt, do którego chętni mogą przynosić przedmioty pierwszej potrzeby (lista najpotrzebniejszych rzeczy jest załączona poniżej). Zbiórka organizowana jest przez ambasadę Turcji w Warszawie i ma punkty odbioru w największych polskich miastach.
Do piątku (10.02) do Wrocławskiego Ośrodka Zbiórek (ul. Wita Stwosza 15a/2a) można przynosić darowizny. Lista potrzeb jest załączona poniżej, ale również na bieżąco aktualizowana na Instagramie ambasady: https://www.instagram.com/t.c.varsova/. W imieniu koordynatorów zbiórki prosimy o sprawdzanie listy zawczasu i upewnianie się na bieżąco, że dostarczane produkty są tymi najpotrzebniejszymi.
Bezpośrednią osobą kontaktową w sprawie wrocławskiej zbiórki jest Elvan Gazi (nr telefonu: +48 696 939 860). Wszelkie pytania dotyczące przekazywania darowizn prosimy kierować do niego lub na adres isn@uwr.edu.pl.
W piątek (10.02) zebrane przedmioty zostaną przetransportowane z Wrocławia i trafią do potrzebujących. Po tej dacie nie będzie już możliwości oddawania darów w tym punkcie zbiórki.

Dear students,
In the wake of the catastrophic earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday, organizations around the world began accepting donations to help the victims of the disaster. Also in Wrocław, a point has been established where volunteers can bring necessities (the list of the most necessary items is attached below). The initiative is organized by the Turkish Embassy in Warsaw and has collection points in the largest Polish cities.
Until Friday (10.02) you can bring donations to the Wrocław Collection Center (ul. Wita Stwosza 15a/2a). The list of the most necessary items is attached below, but it is also updated on an ongoing basis on the embassy's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/t.c.varsova/. On behalf of the collection coordinators, we kindly ask you to please check the list in advance and make sure that the products delivered are the most needed.
The direct contact person for the Wrocław collection is Elvan Gazi (phone number: +48 696 939 860). Please direct any questions regarding donations to him or to isn@uwr.edu.pl.
On Friday (10.02) the collected items will be transported from Wrocław and will go to those in need. After this date, you will no longer be able to donate at this collection point.
We encourage you to help, we thank those involved, and we wish our students from Turkey and Syria and their families strength and perseverance.

The 2023 application round for the two-years Master's course in 'Global Studies - A European Perspective' is now open and therefore we herewith would like to encourage all suitable candidates to apply for the programme.
The Master's course combines approaches from Global History and International Studies. Cultural Studies, Area Studies, Social Sciences and other disciplines contribute to a wide ranging academic programme.
It is an interdisciplinary, research-based programme offered by a Consortium of five European universities:
- Ghent University (Belgium)
- Leipzig University (Germany),
- Roskilde University (Denmark),
- University of Vienna (Austria),
- University of Wroclaw (Poland).
and is maintaining a partnership with nine further leading non-European universities in the field of Global Studies:
- Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia),
- Dalhousie University (Canada),
- Fudan University (China),
- Jawaharlal Nehru University (India),
- Macquarie University (Australia),
- Otago University (New Zealand),
- University of California at Santa Barbara (USA),
- University of Stellenbosch (South Africa),
- University of Yaoundé I (Cameroon).
The application deadline is March 31st, 2023 for all applicants who want to be taken into consideration for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship and for admission to the programme, which starts in fall 2023.
