Campuses
The University of Wroclaw, with its ten faculties, unfolds across five distinct campuses, weaving its academic presence into the fabric of the city. While the majority of these locations reside in the bustling city centre, two campuses extend slightly further afield, offering a quieter study environment.
The historical heart of the university beats within the Leopoldinum Campus (Kampus Leopoldyński), nestled near the vibrant market square. This campus, steeped in history, houses the faculties of Law, Administration and Economics, Faculty of Earth Sciences and Enviromental Management as well as Faculty of Historical and PEdagogical Sciences. It also serves as home to the School of Polish Language, making it a hub for international students.
In the city centre, just across the river from the Leopoldinum Campus, the Max Born Campus provides a home for the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, as well as the Institute of Geological Sciences.
Crossing the Odra River, near the iconic Grunwaldzki Bridge, lies the Grunwaldzki Campus. Here, amidst the modern facilities, students of Biotechnology, Chemistry, Communication Management, and Journalism pursue their studies. The campus also houses the University Library, a treasure trove of knowledge and resources. Campus is located close to the university dormitories.
Venturing slightly further from the city centre, but still easily accessible by bus, is the Koszarowa Campus. This location provides a dedicated space for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Biological Sciences. It also boasts the University Sports Centre, where students can participate in physical education classes and recreational activities.
Finally, the Dawida Campus, the smallest of the five, is conveniently located near the Main Railway Station and houses the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.
