    Bronisław Geremek (1932 - 2008), a scholar, intellectual and politician, a passionate Pole and
    exemplary European, was a source of intellectual inspiration as well as a model for prudent action and moral decency for many. Geremek was a supporter of the IWM almost from its inception and a member of its Board of Patrons until his death. The fellowship program commemorates his name and his work.
