Applicants with Disabilities or Specific Needs

Adaptations to the Admissions Process for Applicants with Disabilities or Specific Needs

Applicants may request reasonable adjustments to the admissions process to accommodate individual needs arising from a disability or specific circumstances. The purpose of these adjustments is to ensure equal access to the admissions process, while maintaining academic standards, in accordance with Regulation No. 67/2026 of the Rector of the University of Wrocław.

Who can apply?

Adjustments may be requested by applicants who:

  • hold a disability certificate or an equivalent document,

  • have a chronic medical condition,

  • have experienced a sudden illness or accident,

  • have a documented health condition or other difficulties that may affect their ability to participate in the admissions process (e.g. an entrance examination or interview).

What forms of support are available?

Adjustments are determined individually and may include, in particular:

  • a change in the format of an examination or admissions interview,

  • additional time for an examination or interview,

  • appropriate examination conditions (e.g. a quiet room),

  • the use of specialised equipment or support services,

  • other adjustments based on the applicant’s demonstrated needs.

A full list of example adjustments is provided in the appendix to Regulation No. 67/2026 of the Rector of the University of Wrocław.

  3. any additional documentation supporting the request (if applicable).

  • A proposal for the appropriate adjustment to the admissions process is then prepared.

  • The applicant receives information about the proposed adjustment together with a deadline for acceptance.

  • If the applicant does not accept the proposal within the specified deadline, the adjustment will not be implemented.

In justified cases, the application may be consulted with the Support and Accessibility Office.
