Junior Research Award 2026-27
The Fulbright Junior Research Award 2026-27 is a program for Polish citizens preparing their doctoral dissertations at Polish academic institutions.
The scholarship, lasting between 4 to 10 months, enables recipients to conduct their own research project at a U.S. university, a non-profit research institute, or an NGO, related to their dissertation topic. Applications from all fields are welcome, except for projects requiring direct patient contact.
Applicants may also apply for the Fulbright Research Award at Stanford University School of Medicine 2026-27 under this competition.

Fulbright Research Award at Stanford University School of Medicine 2026-27
This award is designed for Polish PhD candidates conducting research in cellular, molecular, or structural biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or related disciplines, excluding projects requiring direct patient contact.
The scholarship, lasting 8 to 10 months, supports participation in one of the research projects at Rogala Lab, aligning with the recipient’s dissertation topic.
This award is part of the Junior Research Award program and is offered in collaboration with Rogala Lab at Stanford University.

Graduate Student Award 2026-27
The Fulbright Graduate Student Award 2026-27 is intended for Polish citizens interested in starting Master’s or PhD studies in the USA. The scholarship covers up to $47,000 for the first year, with the possibility of extension for a second year.
Applications are accepted for all fields except medical studies requiring direct patient contact, LLM (Master of Laws), and MBA (Master of Business Administration) programs. However, an exception is made for the LLM in International Human Rights Law at the University of Notre Dame, which is co-funded by the Commission.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree by June of the departure year and may apply to any accredited U.S. university.

Graduate Student Award LLM in International Human Rights Law at the University of Notre Dame 2026-27
New! As part of the Graduate Student Award 2026-27, applicants can apply for a one-year scholarship for the LLM in International Human Rights Law at the University of Notre Dame.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in law by June of the departure year and be Polish citizens. The scholarship is offered in collaboration with The Law School of the University of Notre Dame.
The program covers topics such as civil and political rights, global racial justice, religious freedom, international criminal law on mass crimes and authoritarianism, as well as economic, social, and cultural rights related to global poverty, sustainable development, corporate human rights abuses, climate change, and environmental degradation.
The eligibility criteria and selection process remain the same as for the Graduate Student Award.

Senior Award 2026-27
The Fulbright Senior Award 2026-27 allows Polish citizens employed at Polish academic and research institutions to conduct independent research or research-and-teaching projects at a host institution in the USA (university, non-profit research institute, or government institution).
The 3 to 10-month scholarship is available to researchers and academics at any career stage after earning their PhD. Applications are accepted from all disciplines, except for projects requiring direct patient contact.

STEM Impact Award 2025-26
The Fulbright STEM Impact Award 2025-26 is for Polish citizens leading research projects in STEM fields, employed at Polish academic and research institutions.
The scholarship supports a short-term (2-6 weeks) research, teaching, or research-and-teaching project and provides training in science commercialization or grant writing at U.S. institutions.
Eligible applicants should have experience managing research projects and supervising other researchers.
