Call for applications for research stays under the DAAD programme ‘Eastern Partnerships’

TU Dresden, under the 'Eastern Partnerships' programme of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD 'Ostpartnerschaften'), is offering scholarships for short-term research stays.
At the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, due to our strategic partnerships, stays at the following universities will be preferred:
• Wrocław University
• Charles University Prague
• Wrocław University of Science and Technology
Moreover, application for funding of research stays at universities in Central Eastern, Southeastern and Eastern Europe as well as in the Caucasus and in Central Asia is possible as well.
The aim of the stay should be to establish personal contacts between scholars of TU Dresden and its partner institutions, fostering future cooperation. Additionally, during the stay, research-related searches can be conducted in local archives, university libraries and university-affiliated institutes.
The funding is available for staff, students, graduates, and doctoral candidates of TU Dresden.

Basically, the home university is paying travel expenses to the host university and the host university is paying subsistence expenses as well as travel expenses within the host country in the context of the cooperation, if applicable.
In order to support as many measures as possible, short-term stays of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 14 days during the summer semester 2019 will be preferred. Longer stays are, of course, possible as well, but may not be financially supported.
Your application (in German or in English) should contain:
- CV
- Short description of the project including the objective of the research stay
- Letter of support from a scholar of the partner university or of TU Dresden (of the subject area where the project is conducted)
- Details on duration and period of the stay.
The application deadline is 30 April 2019.

The selection process will take place within the School. There is no legal entitlement to funding.
