In today's faster than ever changing society teachers are faced with a challenge of how to adapt to changes in the field of methodology as well as technology to design courses that cater best for students' needs. In this process we are constantly faced with new concepts and paradigms, from which we have to choose the ones that are most suitable for our teaching and learning processes and thus equip our students with the knowledge and skills they will need in their professional lives as well for lifelong learning.

Equally, today's students require greater challenges, more variety and flexibility in their studies. New learning technologies have great potential, yet they have shifted our understanding of learning and teaching processes. This year's conference thus aims to provide an exciting focus on emerging, developing and existing learning technologies and teaching methods in LSP.  Lecturers, researchers and practitioners are invited to discuss the role and challenges of new learning technologies and methods, lecturers and learners from higher education institutions are faced with in the 21st century.
